Arrow "Repairing Data Archive" Input

I had some minor lag instances yesterday. Just started playing today in Temple of the Ages in Prophecies. Anyway, I noticed that the compass map in the upper right was not drawing the background at all. It was just a mottled brown with NPCs located but no PCs (maybe). Went outside the Temple and the map did not correct. Quit the game and tried running it again and got the "Repairing Data Archive" window. After this finished I started up the game again and the map looks just fine now.

Last week I updated the X1900XTX drivers to the latest release and played the game heavily every day through yesterday with no problems. Today I updated Windows Media Player and Adobe Reader to their latest versions and Defragged the partition they were in which is the same partition GW is in.

My gut (if I had one) says this issue is not caused by the graphics card driver(s) or defragging the HDD partition but something else and maybe something online at ArenaNet?

Good luck everyone. I hope there is no regularity to it or if it does develop there is a good solution/fix and no lost game.

Thank you.

I am having the same problem... I got a new computer and it started doing that. I reinstalled it a couple of times but I'm still getting blank spots on the map and white squares from time to time and it starts repairing the archive. I got jumping NPC problem too... Anyone knows what can cause that?
